Distracted driving is not just about teenagers who are looking at their cell phones when they shouldn’t be while out on the road. There is a lot more to it than just that. Anyone can become a distracted driver if they are not paying attention to what they are doing out there. People often think that it won’t be them, but it certainly can.

Avoid eating while driving in the car. Some individuals have incorporated this into such a routine part of their day that they don’t even think of it as distracted driving, but it certainly is. There is just as much damage that can be done by someone eating in their car as by someone on a cell phone when they shouldn’t be. Consider that and try to keep this distraction as well as any multi-tasking kind of activity out of your vehicle at all times. You should always be focused on the road.
