Rearview and side mirrors help you stay aware of your surroundings. But what happens when another vehicle gets into your blind spots? Some vehicles have sensors and/or cameras installed throughout the car. These sensors make use of radar or sonar to warn you when vehicles enter one of your blind spots.
Some of these blind-spot monitor systems will give you audio and visual warnings whenever a vehicle enters your blind spot. Others will notify you when you've activated the turn signal to help reduce the chance of collisions. Your blind-spot monitor system works with many of the other safety features in your car such as lane keep assist and front collision warning to help keep you safe on the road.
