- Be sure that you take turns more slowly so the vehicle is not sliding off the road and into other lanes.
- Avoid areas on the road that have standing water or large puddles of water.
- Turn off the cruise control so the tires are not continuing to try to spin as you start hydroplaning.
- Try to navigate the position of your vehicle so that you are in the tracks of the car ahead of you. This will help lessen the amount of water your tires need to scatter.
- If possible, try to drive in a lower gear to increase the traction on the road.
