Acura RDX vs. Honda CRV.png
Compare the All-New 2019 Acura RDX to the Updated 2019 Honda CR-V

The compact family crossover is a hot segment right now--and every automaker is getting in on the action. Two exciting new options in the area are the 2019 Honda CR-V and the 2019 Acura RDX. Surprised to see these two SUVs in competition? You shouldn't be: they're similar in size, they both offer plenty of cargo space, and they're both great choices for drivers looking for a lot for the price.

  • Prices for base-level 2019 Acura RDX SUVs are about the same as prices for similarly equipped 2019 Honda CR-V SUVs
  • The 2019 Honda CR-V offers better fuel economy, but the 2019 Acura RDX boasts more standard horsepower at 272 HP to Honda's 184 HP
  • The 2019 Acura RDX offers a lot more standard features and options than the 2019 Honda CR-V

Interior

The interior of the 2019 Acura RDX offers full-grain Milano leather upholstery and heated front seats, and the new Acura True Touchpad Interface with a 10.2-Inch HD Dual-Content Center Display.

Drivetrain

The newly redesigned 2019 Acura RDX boasts a new engine, as well: a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that's good for 272 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque. Front-wheel drive comes standard on the model, but Super Handling All-Wheel Drive System (SH-AWD) is an option on all models.

Exterior and Models

Since Acura doesn't use typical trim levels in their lineup, the 2019 Acura RDX instead offers package options: the Standard, Technology Package, A-Spec® Package, and Advance Package. Exterior features across the line include exposed dual exhaust outlets, LED lighting, and a stylish Diamond Pentagon grille.
