Compare the New 2019 Acura TLX to the New 2019 Toyota Camry

The 2019 Acura TLX brings exciting, fresh features to the luxury midsize sedan market, delivering great performance and incredible comfort. The Toyota Camry, though, is all-new for 2019 and is looking to push its way into the premium market. Can it compare? Let's see how the 2019 Toyota Camry holds up against the 2019 Acura TLX.

  • The 2019 Acura TLX offers more standard horsepower than the 2019 Toyota Camry
  • Acura Super-Handling All-Wheel Drive is available on 2019 Acura TLX V6 models--AWD is not available on any Camry model
  • Features like leather seat upholstery, a 360-degree Surround View Camera system, and a heated steering wheel are more readily available on the Acura TLX than on the Toyota Camry

For a midsize sedan, the 2019 Acura TLX brings full-size comfort. Interior features include premium leather upholstery and stitched seams, bolstered sport seats for the driver and front passenger, premium surround sound, a heated steering wheel, and AcuraWatch driver-assistance safety features.

The 2019 Acura TLX offers a 206-horsepower 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine as its standard option on most models, paired to a 9-speed automatic transmission. 2019 Acura TLX V6 models, understandably, offer a more powerful option: a 290-horsepower 3.5-liter V6 engine, also paired to the 9-speed. Super-Handling All-Wheel Drive is only available on models with the V-6 engine.

Exterior and Models

In Acura standard style, the 2019 Acura TLX doesn't use trim levels to separate its models. Instead, the one-and-only Acura TLX can be equipped with package options to change the look and feel of its styling: you can choose from a Standard Package, Technology Package, A-Spec® Package, and Advance Package. Outside, you'll find the brand's handsome Diamond Pentagon grille. If you choose the A-Spec® designs package, you get dark chrome accents, black spoilers, and Shark Gray paint on the wheels.
